Sales Policy










We are a small livestock breeder, so the number of Cashmere goats we have for sale is limited.  All available goats for sale will be posted on the web site.

 

Our herd is a  Red Cashmere herd only.  We only sell red breeding stock and

red fiber wethers.  Wethers are neutered males.

 

We do not sell pregnant does or young babies.  Only yearling goats and some

adult goats from our breeding herd and fiber wethers will be available for sale.

 

Cashmere goats are sexually mature but still developing at 2 years of age and are

considered fully grown and mature at 5 years of age.

 

Due to our policy change, Yearling stock (bucks, does, fiber wethers) will be available for sale only every other year.

 

·  Yearling does for sale - They will be 18 months old in the fall and ready to breed.  They will then have their babies when they turn 2 years old.

 

·  Yearling bucks (18 months old) - We keep only a few bucks.  Available until September 1st then they will be used in our breeding program.

 

·  Fiber wethers for sale with yellow, apricot or almond cashmere fiber.  

 

As we advance our breeding program and bloodlines, we occasionally sell some goats (from 3 to 6 years old) from our breeding herd - proven breeders with offspring.

 

·  Adult bucks from our breeding herd.  Mature bucks weigh 150 - 200 lbs.  All our herd bucks are red only.

 

·  Adult does from our breeding herd are available in June after weaning their babies.  Mature does weigh 125 - 150 lbs.

 

Due to our policy change, we will now keep a waiting list to reserve upcoming goats for sale.  A deposit of 25% of the purchase price will be required to reserve a goat. [See side panel for details.]

 

The waiting list will be kept by order of contact.  Those on the list will be contacted by e-mail and telephone in March for yearling does and fiber wethers, in June for adult does and for adult bucks.  If no answer is received within a reasonable period of time, the next person on the list will be contacted.

 

Prices for red breeding stock:

 

Adult Red bucks:  $500.           Yearling Red Bucks:  $400.

Dark Red does:  $500.             Yearling Red Does:  $400.

Any other colored Adult Does:  $300. (can have red babies)

 

Fiber wethers (neutered males):  $200.

 

Prices are firm.  No discounts for multiple purchases.
